I'm super proud to announce that Bibdex is now a service of Bibdex Inc. I have spent some time this summer incorporating Bibdex as its own company. This gives me more freedom to bring on more people to work on Bibdex in the future, and more importantly, allows me to better serve academic publishers concerned for how their content is treated on Bibdex.
I am a child of the Internet. I've been online since I was 12 years old. I fell in love with it then and decided I would make my life online. I am also a proud Canadian, currently living in Toronto, Ontario. For many reasons, I have decided to make my life in Toronto.
Toronto is no Silicon Valley, but it is the home to a very active tech scene. One of my long term goals in life is to see that Toronto is always doing something amazing to make the Internet a more exciting place. One way to do that is to fly the flag to show others what's happening in this city and this country.
So, I am now proudly sporting a little "Made in Canada" badge at the bottom of the website. I hope this inspires other Canadian companies to follow suit. You may be surprised how much of Internet excellence comes from Canada.
(Of course, now I have to turn Bibdex itself into something amazing!)

After spending 2009 working feverishly to improve the design, functionality, usability, and brand of what is now known as Bibdex, I'm excited to be in the launch seat at the start of 2010. All I need now is for Mission Control to start the countdown.
If all things go to plan, the first few weeks of 2010 will be spent finishing the last few things on my checklist, cross checking the system to see that it's working, and doing any last minute polish that comes up.
In the meanwhile, I'm going to quietly open the doors to people to sign up and start using Bibdex. Go ahead. Please let me know what you think, good and (especially) bad. Now's the time where I'm most hungry for feedback. I'll only be insulted if you say nothing.
